Loving this retro glam look from Jurnee Smollett-Bell on the cover of Ebony. We live for a good jumpsuit moment, and her post baby body is a refreshing change from the ones we typically see.

Gabrielle Union kept the retro glam trend going in wide leg denim jeans. The fur bomber was the perfect addition to glam up an otherwise average look.

Can we just take a moment to celebrate the nostalgic greatness of Destiny’s Child? Kelly is giving lessons on monochromatic greatness in Yousef Akbar, and Beyoncé is regal in this white Peter Dundas gown. Not sure who Kelly is wearing, but I think the shoes are Tom Ford.

Halima Aden is causing quite a stir in fashion as a Muslim model wearing a hijab on the runway. The former beauty pageant contestant is signed to IMG Models, is featured in high fashion magazine CR Fashion Book, and walked the Yeezy runway for New York Fashion Week. The girl is undeniably beautiful, and I hope to see her get more work. The fashion industry is often criticized for the sexualiztion of young girls on runways, and in advertising campaigns. So it will be interesting to see if her presence will continue given the guidelines of her religious dress code. I think this would be a great change for the industry, but knowing how it goes backstage at shows, I hope there will be designers who are willing to make proper accommodations for her.

Living for Cardi B in this LaQuan Smith look. His new collection is a journey through time incorporating 90’s elements, with modern aesthetics, and a little bit of a futuristic flare. Cardi B seems to be stepping up her fashion game these days, and playing with different looks as she builds her brand. This one is a definite win.

Tracee Ellis Ross continues to be my hero in this vintage Azzedine Alaia look. Adds to list of life goals: be able to pull out old designer pieces and still fit them in my 40’s.

A few people admonished me to look at So Cosmo, E!’s new show chronicling the lives of the editorial staff of Cosmopolitan magazine, and I really enjoyed it. I love that they have a diverse group of editors, but of course Tiffany Reid got all of my attention. Her style, and the way she carries and asserts herself in the workplace were pluses for me. Love this suit that she pieced together from Alexander Wang, Jill Stuart, and Topshop.
