My personal hero Rihanna released her second collection with Manolo Blahnik this week aptly named “Savage.” My initial thought upon seeing the booties is that they remind me of the Manolo Timbs Beyonce wore in the “Bonnie and Clyde” video from 2003. J. Lo also wore them in her video for “Jenny From the Block.” According to Women’s Wear Daily, Rihanna sites Timberland work boots (Timbs, Buttas, whatever you want to call them) as the inspo for the new collection. It is important to note that J. Lo wore those stunning denim numbers from Rihanna’s last collection for Manolo in her video for a song I have never heard called “Not Your Mama.” Look at fashion being all cyclical and stuff.
