Fashion Friday 1.6.17

Let’s take a moment for the brown goodness that is Gabrielle Union in Thakoon headed to the premier of the new movie Sleepless.

I just learned today that there is no dress code for the Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony. Who knew? Viola Davis chose a white Christian Siriano dress to receive the first Walk of Fame star of 2017. Love this look!

Naomie Harris has been a red carpet favorite since her press run for the James Bond movie Spectre in 2012. She continues her reign in this Brandon Maxwell number at the 2017 National Board of Review Gala. I can’t wait to see what she wears during the rest of this awards season as she and the rest of the cast of Moonlight (hopefully) rack up.

Amy Adams wore this bell sleeved Marchesa dress at the 2017 National Board of Review Gala. This dress is so classically feminine, and I love it! From the lace, to the small tie at the neck, to the ankle-skimming length, and the bomb ass shoes, I am just in love with this. In a world full of people who are trying to be different and edgy, I love to see someone be ultra feminine and classic.  I also love that bell sleeves are a thing again.

I’m not going to pretend to understand her hair, but I love Janelle Monae’s dress by British designer Jenny Packham.

Ruth Negga is a fashion world favorite thus far. The Loving star has already landed a VOGUE cover for crying out loud. It’s easy to see why based on her red carpet choices. There is something so alluring about this look by Erdem. I would’ve liked an open toe, but I love the color palette and her pixie cut.

I still don’t see it for Julianne Hough after that dumb ass Halloween move she pulled a few years ago, but I do like this very patriotic look. I fully enjoy it when sporty chic is done right, albeit on a less than desirable person.
